Clint Brewer currently serves as Commercial Officer in the Commercial Section at the American Institute in Taiwan. Clint’s industry portfolio includes 5G, information & communication technology (ICT), cybersecurity, semiconductors, advanced manufacturing, financial services & technology, franchising, and travel & tourism. Prior to joining the team at AIT, Clint served for three years as Commercial Officer and Digital Attache in the Commercial Section at the U.S. Embassy in Singapore. In both roles, Clint promoted U.S. business interests in Singapore and Southeast Asia through a variety of means, including export promotion and U.S. investment attraction, commercial diplomacy, and advocacy of U.S. firms. Before his assignment in Singapore, he worked in the domestic field for two years in Atlanta, GA, where he served as Deputy Team Leader for the Global Finance Team at the U.S. Department of Commerce. Clint has an industry specialization in financial technology (FinTech), cybersecurity and advanced manufacturing. Prior to joining the Foreign Commercial Service, Clint worked for over ten years in the private sector in the U.S. and abroad in the Insurance industry. Clint received his Bachelor’s degree in International Relations and Spanish from Syracuse University. He holds the designation of Certified International Business Professional (CGBP) from the NASBITE organization. He now resides in Taipei, Taiwan with his wife and two sons.
